Jono’s Sheep Services & Jono's Cattle Services (JSS & JCS) – Terms & Conditions

By booking a service with Jono’s Sheep Services or Jono's Cattle Services (JSS & JCS) and/or receiving services supplied by JSS or JCS, you (the Client) acknowledge and agree to all Terms & Conditions outlined below, without the requirement of a physical signature.

  

1. Booking Conditions

1.1. Jono’s Sheep Services and Jono's Cattle Services reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time without notice.
1.2. Unforeseen personal circumstances may result in booking cancellations. Notice will be provided if your booking needs to be cancelled and rescheduled.

  

2. Weather & Safety Conditions

2.1. JSS & JCS staff will not operate in inclement weather. Inclement weather includes, but is not limited to, wet or misty days, or extreme heat.
2.2. Due to health and safety requirements, JSS & JCS staff reserve the right to cease work or not operate if:

  • Temperatures      exceed 35°C according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) in the      client’s area
  • There      is an active bushfire in the Mount Lofty Ranges or the client’s area
  • The      CFS declares a Catastrophic fire danger day in the Mount Lofty      Ranges or the client’s area

2.3. If extreme weather results in cancellation, your booking will be rescheduled to the next available time.

  

3. Arrival & Scheduling

3.1. JSS & JCS strives to arrive within the allocated time frame.
3.2. Due to unforeseen factors, weather conditions (see Clause 2), or exceptional circumstances, JSS & JCS may reschedule bookings at any time.

  

4. Service Availability

4.1. Not all services may be available at the time of booking.
4.2. Clients will be notified if any requested service is unavailable.

  

5. Animal Yarding Requirements

5.1. All animals must be yarded prior to staff arrival:

  • Sheep:      Maximum 1.5m² per sheep
  • Alpacas:      Maximum 2.5m² per alpaca
  • Cattle:      All cattle to yarded in stable cattle yards/holding pens

5.2. Animals must be yarded the night before your booking.
5.3. Failure to yard animals prior to arrival will result in additional charges.
5.4. If you do not have yards, you must notify staff in advance. Portable yards can be supplied for an additional setup and hire fee, including herding assistance.

  

6. Dogs on Property

6.1. All client dogs must be securely yarded or kept inside upon staff arrival to ensure the safety of JSS & JCS  staff and working dogs.
6.2. JSS &JCS working dogs will only be used with the client’s consent.
6.3. If a JSS or JCS working dog causes severe external injury to livestock, JSS & JCS will compensate and treat the animal within reason.
6.4. If a JSS or JCS working dog is injured due to livestock or unsafe property conditions, the client is responsible for all associated veterinary costs.

  

7. Health Advice Disclaimer

7.1. Any health or care advice provided by JSS& JCS staff is general advice only.
7.2. JSS & JCS staff are not qualified veterinarians.

  

8. Pricing & Quotes

8.1. Service prices may vary depending on additional services required on the day.
8.2. JSS &JCS provides a free and accurate online quote service.
8.3. All online quotes are estimates only.
8.4. Final pricing is determined by staff upon completion of the job, including any applicable discounts or additional charges.

  

9. Behaviour & Conduct

9.1. Abuse towards JSS & JCS staff will not be tolerated.
9.2. Clients who engage in abusive behaviour will be refused future services.

  

10. Invoicing, Late Fees & Debt Recovery

10.1. All invoices must be paid in full within 14 days of issue.
10.2. Any invoice not paid within the 14‑day grace period will incur a 5% late fee of the total bill.
10.3. An additional 5% of the original invoice amount will be added every week the invoice remains unpaid after the due date.
10.4. All late fees must be paid in full — including the most recently added late fee — before any new bookings can be made.
10.5. All outstanding invoices must be paid in full prior to future bookings.
10.6. Failure to pay outstanding invoices and late fees will result in termination of services.
10.7. Any legal fees required to recover unpaid funds will be charged to the client.
10.8. Clients have a maximum of two (2) months from the original invoice due date to pay the invoice and all accumulated late fees in full. Failure to do so will result in legal action being taken to recover the outstanding funds.

  

11. Deposits

11.1. All bookings require a $70 non‑refundable deposit to secure the appointment.
11.2. The deposit is not a full payment and will be deducted from the final invoice after services are completed.
11.3. Clients may use the online quote tool to estimate the total cost of their booking.

  

12. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

12.1. These Terms & Conditions are subject to change at any time without notice.
12.2. Continued use of JSS & JCS services constitutes acceptance of the most current Terms & Conditions.
